Latin Jazz: La Combinación Perfecta is a Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES) exhibition that explores the rhythms and traditions of Latin jazz. This is a 12-city, five-year tour across the United States and in the Caribbean. The exhibition opened to the public on October 19, 2002 at the Smithsonian and is currently on tour. at the Smithsonian.

The initial lineup for the 2006 Jazz and Heritage Festival has just been announced. This year's Jazz Fest will feature a diverse mix of New Orleans native musicians and nationally recognized musicians. The festival is scheduled to take place over two weekends, April 28 - 30, 2006 and May 5- 7, 2006. Saturday, April 29th - Etta James, Herbie Hancock, Juvenile.
