Tessa told us: "Here are the details of my next gig! At Dizzy's at the Lincoln Center with a different musician each night. Yikes! It being late night this is much cheaper than the $30 some of you paid to see me there last time. Only $10 ($5 for students). However, there will be no moon at all(probably already risen by then).I have some amazing musicians playing with me -- including our beloved cellist Dana Leong, bassist Santi Debriano, guitarist Paul Meyers and pianist-composer Kirk Nurock. I will be singing some NEW MATERIAL (eek! just to make it extra difficult on myself), focusing mostly on music composed by instrumentalists -- Wayne Shorter, Joaquin Rodrigo, Pat Martino, John Coltrane, Billy Taylor and others. And some standards (to make it easier!) that I rarely do. But I promise to do Fragile for those of you who said they missed it at my last gig I really hope you can make it out to hear us. I mean, New York is the 24-hour city, right? Just doing my bit to help keep the image alive!"
